About Me

My photo
Hello there from sunny Nth Qld in Australia...the luckiest country on the planet AT THE MOMENT! I'm retired and recently widowed. I love to travel . Airplane, boat, walking but mostly by means of my motorcycle. I love to garden too. I have a wee small doggie named George and an old cat named Kitty. Two years on from Tim passing we three have almost sorted out living without him. I think it will be 'almost' forever more. Can't see me being over it completely if you know what I mean. I intend to fill these blogs with my journey on my bike.Too much has happened in the space between today and my last blog. This is my last ditch effort to revive my creative writing skills.

WOODFORD OR BUST

My plane was cancelled this morning and I spent a total of 3 hours arranging another. I am counting my blessings as I am sure a plane full of other travellers were trying to do the same thing. Our first concert is tomorrow (27th Dec) at 10:15am and those of us going need to be there at 9am. And so it shall be as far as this little black duck is concerned! Anything that is worthwhile nearly always has hurdles to jump, climb and in this case possibly swim over. In the past I have found that obstacles are put in the way to make sure you know what you are doing and whether you think it worthwhile. I persevered with the phone this morning listening to Jetstars blurb and then Qantas blurb over and over and over when finally a lovely lady came on and calmed my frazzled nerves and found my name on the list and yes I am booked...re booked on a later flight. PTL(praise the Lord!) Stand by for future updates of my adventures at the Woodford Folk Festival 2010/11.

Grandparents are gobsmacked!

Parke baby 12 weeks. Apparently all legs and arms accounted for and all bits in the right place.

How proud are we then? And I thought I could wait...NOT!
Rob and Kia will be parents sometime in late June. At last we can tell the world
mind you most of my friends know already. How can you keep such wonderful news under wraps?
